The Role As Group Marketing Manager, you’ll be responsible for a portfolio of leading B2B exhibitions. You’ll work closely with the teams to deliver exceptional results and develop great relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, taking responsibility for developing comprehensive marketing strategies to maximise attendance, engagement and overall success of our events. This role will include managing a small team of marketing managers within your group of portfolios. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a senior role within a growing marketing team. Core Responsibilities Marketing Strategy: Develop and implement a marketing strategy aligned with the portfolio’s identity and our business goals. Market Research: Conduct market research and stay abreast of industry trends to identify relevant topics and themes for content creation. Campaign Management: Lead in the execution and tracking of marketing initiatives across the full range of marketing channels. Project Management: Explore campaign planning, tracking and management tools to improve workflows, team collaboration and efficiencies. Results Focus: Consistently analyse marketing performance metrics, lead quality and conversion rates for ongoing improvement. Strategic Ownership: Assume strategic marketing responsibility for all products across the portfolios. Budget Management: Ensure budgets are being managed effectively to maximise ROI. Content Development: Generate ideas for compelling content creation and distribution. Partnerships: Identify global partners and build relationships with organisations that we can work with internationally, across brands. Data Management: Audit current data management processes and implement an effective data management and acquisition strategy to maximise efficiencies and channel performance. Website Maintenance: Roll-out a newly created website strategy across all brands. Supplier Liaison: Collaborate with a range of suppliers to explore global deals and better ROI across brands – for example PR agencies, registration companies, website firms, data providers and digital PPC agencies. Event Partners: Work closely with event partners to ensure successful collaborations. Feedback Mechanisms: Help develop feedback surveys to gather insights for continuous improvement. Registration and Ticketing: Oversee registration and online ticketing processes. Campaign Tracking: Implement robust tracking and evaluation of marketing campaigns. Ad-hoc Duties: Undertake any other duties as requested. Key Skills Strategy: A proven track record of creating and implementing successful marketing strategies on an international scale. Technology: Show a high level of proficiency in using technology and software tools, including Microsoft Office, website systems, email broadcast systems, data management tools, project management software. Communication: Exhibit strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Campaign Creativity: Display a creative, daring and innovative approach to campaign development. Negotiation: Demonstrate effective negotiating and interpersonal skills. Organisation: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively and deliver on time. Collaboration: Able to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues and external partners. Analytical: Analytically minded and able to draw conclusions and make recommendations. Pressure Handling: Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressurised situations. Professional Standards: Professionalism and an overall positive attitude a must. Global Perspective: Appreciation of international cultures. Flexibility: Able to accommodate extended working hours as needed around key show times and travel worldwide when required. Experience Marketing Experience: Proven demonstrable experience in a B2B marketing role, with a minimum of 2 years at a managerial level (essential). Event Marketing: Previous experience in the events industry is highly desirable with an understanding of marketing trends. Education: Ideally, educated to degree level (desirable).
